DVD REGION ENCODING & VHS FORMAT

Our DVDs are encoded for Region 1 (U.S. and Canada) and may not work on DVD players in other countries. If your purchase is for use outside of Region 1, please check your DVD player’s manual; some DVD players sold internationally are region free and/or can be adjusted to play different formats.

Our DVDs are in the NTSC format and will not work on most players in countries that use PAL, SECAM, or other video formats. Please check your machine’s manual.

WHY ARE EDUCATIONAL/INSTITUTIONAL EDITIONS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN HOME USE VERSIONS?

The products in our Educational, Library and Institutional division are used by organizations and sell in relatively small numbers. To recoup the significant production costs and to help support our future independent filmmaking, we must charge a higher price per title. The price also includes educational rights, which are more extensive than those granted with home use sales and benefit a larger constituency.

Thank you for supporting independent media.
