Outta Time
a new short documentary

Outta Time is a new short documentary produced and directed by Paul Lewis that tells the story of one man's passion to write a screenplay and make a movie.
Featuring Russell Puerini or Middletown, RI, the film explores what drives the creative spirit, the nature of story-telling and the relationship between memory and narrative filmmaking.
"Russell Wrote a screenplay!" And so it started.
Why would a man spend five years writing a screenplay and working tirelessly to see it made into a film? That is what this short film will explore.
About Russell's screenplay: The Man Who Made Time Stands Still is the carefree adventure of a boy who doesn’t want to grow up, and his father, an eclectic inventor, who complicates their lives with an impossible plan to stop his antagonist and regain his wife’s love.
Inspired by true events, this drama/comedy, set from 1959 to 1977, tells the story of Louie Magnetti and his son Russell, a son who thinks of his father as a kind of magician who can accomplish anything, when in reality Louie’s magic is often the result of undiagnosed ADHD.
From the Producer:
"I am interested in the creative process and nearly all of my films have explored this in some fashion or another. Outta Time is a deeper look into the kind of energy and the other deep elements that come together to drive story-telling. I think it will have value to audiences of all ages."
