The modernist writer Ford Madox Ford had two daughters with whom he would become estranged in their adulthood. The eldest, Christina, would become a Catholic nun, Sister Mary Matthew, and remain in England. Katharine would emmigrate to Ireland and marry the painter Charles Lamb.
Kent to Connemara explores Ford Madox Ford's legacy through the memories and reminiscences of three generations of Katherine's family.
